Already have a lease quote? Don't sign until you've compared it
Most people who lease a car end up with one quote and a deadline. The salesperson says the program ends at the end of the month, the payment sounds reasonable, and it's hard to tell whether it's a good deal or just a familiar-sounding number.
That's the moment a second opinion is worth the most. You've already picked the car. You know roughly what you want to pay. What you don't know is whether the same car, on the same lease, is available for less somewhere else in Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Delaware.
That's why we built Beat My Lease Quote, a free tool that lets you upload the quote you already have and get a side-by-side comparison from Arthur, usually the same day.
Why two quotes on the same car can be so far apart
A lease payment is built from several moving parts: the selling price of the car, the term, the miles per year, the manufacturer's incentives, fees and anything added on. Two dealers can quote the exact same car and land in very different places because:
- The selling price is different. Dealers price the same car differently, and the price is often the biggest lever in the payment.
- The amount due at signing is different. A quote can show a lower payment simply by asking for more money upfront.
- The term or miles are different. A 24-month or 7,500-mile lease isn't comparable to a 36-month, 10,000-mile one.
- Incentives are missing or don't apply to you. A quote may leave out lease cash you qualify for, or include loyalty or conquest cash you don't.
- Add-ons are built in. Paint protection, tint, nitrogen-filled tires or "appearance packages" can quietly raise the price.
None of this is obvious from the monthly payment alone. If you want to learn every line yourself, our guide on how to read a car lease quote line by line walks through it.
A quick example
Say you have two quotes on the same SUV, both 36 months and 10,000 miles a year:
- Quote A: $389 a month with $3,500 due at signing
- Quote B: $419 a month with $1,500 due at signing
Quote A looks cheaper because the payment is $30 lower. But Quote B asks for $2,000 less upfront, and $30 a month over the lease adds up to only about $1,000. Over the whole lease, Quote B costs roughly $900 less. Comparing the payment alone would have pointed you to the more expensive deal.
What a good lease quote comparison should check
A useful second opinion lines both deals up on the same terms and looks at:
- The exact car: year, trim, packages and color, so you're comparing like for like.
- The monthly payment, and whether it's shown before or after tax.
- Total due at signing, and what's inside it.
- Term and miles per year, so both quotes are the same length and allowance.
- Incentives you qualify for and any that were left out.
- Add-ons and dealer extras you didn't ask for.
How Beat My Lease Quote works
- Upload your quote. A PDF, a screenshot or a photo of the dealer's worksheet all work. No paperwork? Just type in the car and the monthly payment, plus the due at signing, term and miles if you have them.
- Arthur reviews it line by line. He checks this month's manufacturer programs and pricing for the same car across dealers in PA, NJ and DE.
- You get a side-by-side by text, usually the same day. If we can beat it, you'll see exactly how. If we can't, Arthur will tell you it's a good deal so you can sign with confidence.
It's free, there's no obligation, and we don't share your quote with the dealer who gave it to you. Please cover your Social Security number, date of birth, driver's license number and any account numbers before you upload. We only need the car and the lease numbers.

Why a broker can often beat a dealer quote
A dealership quotes the cars on its own lot at its own price. A lease broker isn't tied to one store. We shop the same car across many dealers, know which ones are pricing aggressively that month, and know which manufacturer programs and incentives apply. Arthur spent more than ten years inside dealerships in sales, finance and management before starting Arthur Lease Deals, so he knows where the room in a deal usually is, and where it isn't.
On top of that, we deliver the car free to your home or office anywhere in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, so you don't have to spend an afternoon at a dealership to get a better deal.
Trading in or ending a lease? Include it
If your new lease includes a trade-in, the trade value can change the whole picture. A quote with a lower payment might also be giving you less for your current car. Check your car's value with our free trade-in value tool, and mention the trade when you send your quote so Arthur can compare the full deal, not just the new car.
When to get a second opinion
- You have a quote and the dealer says the offer ends soon.
- The payment seems fine but you're not sure what's included.
- Your quote doesn't show the due at signing, term or miles.
- You've been offered add-ons or a protection package.
- You're trading in a car or ending a lease early.
