A customer sent in a 2026 Ford Explorer lease quote at $806 a month. Here’s Arthur going through it.
Why compare before you sign
Two quotes on the same car can be hundreds of dollars apart over a lease, and the difference isn’t always in the monthly payment. A lower payment can hide a bigger amount due at signing, a shorter term, fewer miles or add-ons you didn’t ask for. Arthur spent years on the dealership side as a salesperson, finance manager and general manager, so he knows where to look.
What Arthur checks
- The monthly payment and what it includes.
- Total due at signing, so you compare the full cost, not just the payment.
- Term and miles per year, so you compare the same lease.
- Add-ons and dealer extras like protection packages, tint or nitrogen-filled tires.
- The exact car: trim, packages and color, so the comparison is fair.
Questions
Does it cost anything?
No. The comparison is free and there’s no obligation.
Will you share my quote with anyone?
No. We use it only to compare the numbers for you. We don’t send it to the dealer who gave it to you.
What if I only have the numbers, not the paperwork?
That’s fine. Type in the car and the payment, plus the due at signing, term and miles if you have them. Arthur will ask for anything else he needs.
What if you can’t beat it?
Then Arthur will tell you it’s a good deal and you can take it with confidence.
What should I leave off the upload?
Cover your Social Security number, date of birth, driver’s license number and any bank or account numbers. We only need the car and the lease numbers.
